Percy Fortey and Arthur Fortey both appeared in a soiree of dramatic and musical performances by the Thespian Dramatic Society on 20 February 1914.  It took place at Redland, Bristol in honour of a children’s home.

Arthur Urban Fortey died 1956.  Probate says of 18 Beachborough Rd Folkestone, Probate to Lloyds Bank.

Same home address as on Percy HArold's Probate index entry, same executor too.


Sister, Emily Comber Fortey, never married and died 1946 in Leicester, Probate also to a Bank.

Father Henry Fortey died 1902 . His executors were Frances Amelia Fortey, widow, and Isabella Comber Fortey and Emily Comber Fortey, spinsters.

What you've found hasome given me food for thought, thank you all very much. I know about his post 1926 teaching positions, but I'm still chasing a photo of him with Arthur Brough in Folkestone.
