John Dorrington
« on: Tuesday 24 April 18 12:08 BST (UK) »
John Dorrington according to the 1881 census (when he was living in Leeds) was born in Whittlesey
in c 1852.

Have been unable to find him on 1861 and 1871 censuses.

Which Church in Whittlesey would he have been baptised in (1852) and where can those records be accessed?

Many thanks.

Looking on Freebmd there is no John Dorrington born in Cambridgeshire between 1850 and 1855.

There are at least 3 trees with him on Ancestry, but none have managed to find his birth or parents! A man of mystery.

Have you got his marriage certificate to find his fathers name, which might help?

Zetland needs to answer that question - perhaps it was just an error back in October 2016
