John BRUNYEE
« on: Tuesday 24 April 18 16:14 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help find a marriage between John Brunyee and Joan, I don't have a second name for Joan. John Brunyee was born at Crowle Lincolnshire, 1696 and there are different spellings for Brunyee. Their daughter Sarah was born 1734 Crowle.
I may have asked this question before, but I'm still looking and perhaps they didn't marry.
Thanks Lizzy.

So he was 38 when Joan was born. Were there older children?

Hi Joan was John's wife, and she died in 1734. Their daughter Sarah was born in 1720, sorry for the mix up. John and Joan had six children, Sarah the eldest. Lizzy.

Sorry if I got confused!

However, facts are the same, he was 38 when eldest known child was born. Makes me wonder that they had moved back to the area having married and had older children elsewhere, making Sarah the eldest to be chr in Crowle.

If Sarah born 1820 was the eldest child and her father was born 1796 then surely he was only 24 when she was born?

The baptisms of some of the other children give the mother's name as Jane.

HI I have just had a look at the baptisms for John and Joan's children and the ones I have are Joan's. Are the ones you found after 1834?
I wonder if they just didn't marry for some reason.
Lizzy.

Sorry about any confusion - I think the ones I spotted with Jane must have been me getting my 1720s mixed up with the 1820s. Disregard that comment about Jane and I'll wind my neck in!

Hi again I thought you might have found a second wife for John, because he would have been left with very small children. Lizzy.
