witnesses look to be Thos. Harrup and Rich. Summer or Sumner both were also witnesses at the above wedding.

Even if Thomas was born 10 years earlier still no trace of a marriage for him to a Margaret. I note that they had a son Thomas in 1788, I presume he died as their second son Thomas was baptised at the end of 1794. I wonder if they decided to legitimise their union?

But doesn't this 1794 marriage mean they had illegitimate children? My ancestor, Martha Corby, was baptised on the 12th of November 1790, in Enfield.

It is also possible that your Thomas's marriage is not available online  and that the couple were married before having children.  If that 1831 death I quoted is his then he was born c1751, he may have been married before.
