Ancestry overloaded (again)
« on: Saturday 28 April 18 15:27 BST (UK) »
For the last couple of days I have been getting indications that Ancestry have capacity problems.

There are a lot of "This feature is not currently available", "Error 500", and straight timeouts.

The most annoying is the request to take out a basic membership, with my logon name in the top right corner.

About 1 in 20 page changes fails.

I am on a decent link, with a usable 40Mbps, so the problem is at their end.

If they can't keep up with demand, maybe they should cut back on the spam about DNA. ;D
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.

Census information is Crown Copyright. See www.nationalarchives.gov.uk for details.

I'd love to have a piece of Spam DNA tested!

Perhaps it might reveal what it actually contains or what about sending it to Ancestry and see if they can come up with it's lineage!

Have had the same problem over the last few days.

Very annoying and frustrating.

Maybe they could offer their loyal users a free DNA Test  :o :o

Having the same problem recently. Also, when I look for someone, getting told there are no people of that name in your tree, yet when I search under another family member, lo & Behold, there they are.
Pretty fed up now.!!
