John Hayes born 1864, Clare
« on: Sunday 29 April 18 00:37 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

John Hayes was born 16 January 1864 in Roadford, Clare to parents Patrick Hayes and Mary Driscoll.

On John's death certificate in 1950 in Victoria, Australia, it states his mother was Mary O'Driscoll.

Can anyone provide any information regarding Patrick and Mary please or direct me in the right way.

Thanks

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

His birth cert gives the townland they lived in

You could find siblings.

Parish records would be the next stop, just need to figure out which parish.

Thank you for all of the mapping hallmark, that's great knowledge I can pass on.  It's hard to know all of this information when searching from Australia.  So Poulnagun is part of the Clare area.  Would that then be where the parents Patrick and Mary were located also?

Sinann, the link to the birth certificate is fantastic.  Thank you so much.
