This is what I'm now starting to think. I think possibly that Imelda and May are sisters, and maybe cousins of Kathleen rather than sisters.

It doesn't really help that Valentine has about 14 siblings, most of them male with the Byrne name. I now need to find out which one is the parent!

The names on the photo has really thrown me because there is a picture of Valentine and his wife with the bride and groom, it specifically says 'daughter May'. (My Great Uncle has written the names though so it's possible its not correct).

The Aus board would be a good place to go with the info. you have now, it's a pity you don't know exactly where in Aus?

A marriage record for Imelda would be good!
