Sottish soldier WWII records.

Hi, I just know this is going to be one of those rapid response answers 

However, could I ask, would the service records of a Scottish person who served in the second world war be held by the M.O.D, or would they in fact be available from the National Records of Scotland, I am just enquiring for a friend who would like to get his late Grandfathers service record.

All WW2 service records are held by the MOD.
