Lookup request - Tonbridge 1801

Hi, wondered if anyone had access to the actual parish registers for marriages at Tonbridge and could look at the marriage record for William Winn and Rachel Mowcumber on 11 September 1801 please.

I am hoping that the transcription is incorrect and this could in fact be the elusive marriage of William Winton (Vinton) that I have been seeking for ages.

I checked while at the archives today. It definitely says Winn. He signed with an X.

I presume you are looking at William & Rachel WINTON living in Keston in 1841.  It says not born Kent so could have married anywhere

Yes and I have been looking for ages.  It's just that I came across that marriage in the week and it was in the right place, the right time and appropriate christian names and a faint chance it could have been a transcription error ...............

It's possible the vicar misheard his name and William couldn't correct it as he was illiterate.  The witnesses were Frederick Davy & James ?Hayward (the whole entry is very faint). The only William Winn in Tonbridge that I can find in the census is married to Remelion but I can't see a marriage for them.

Just found that marriage in Shipbourne in 1810.
