Ellen Flanery born Roscommon, Ireland.
« on: Thursday 03 May 18 21:25 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Helping a friend with their family history & have found some Irish ancestry.

Ellen Flanery was born around 1805-08 in Roscommon Ireland. Ellen states this as her place of birth on the 1861 census in London. She married an Irishman John Wade in London in 1828. No parents names were shown on the marriage record.

Would anyone be able to assist as regards a baptism &/or finding out whom her parents were please?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards

David

Have you got her death certificate if so what does it say on that?  You could write to local papers around Roscommon asking for help.

Hi Rathmore,

No neither I or my friend have the death certificate. Largely down to difficulty in pinning down exactly when Ellen died. She possibly died in early 1888, although the age is 2 or 3 years out.

As regards the newspaper idea, I will pass that on to my friend for consideration.

My thanks again.

Kind regards
