Is this the Thomas McCabe on the original Marriage certifcate ?

1861 census 11 Mount Vernon Road West Derby Liverpool.

RG 9 Piece 2729 Folio 60; Page 28

John Mc Cabe   39 born Edinburgh, Scotland. Tailor.
Mary Mc Cabe   35 born Derry Hill, Ireland 1826.
Ann Mc Cabe   15 born Derry, Londonderry, Ireland  (Ann Miles on 1901  )
Ellen Mc Cabe   12 born Scotland.
Thomas Mc Cabe 7 born Liverpool.
Mary Mc Cabe   1 born Liverpool.

Sorry to sound like a Numpty but I just need one of you expert reseachers here to clarify
this for me ? I can then start to re work all the answers chronologically

The 1861 census that you have looks to be Thomas Snr from the marriage certificate.  This looks as though this is his birth registration

I gave you what I thought may be the above's death at reply #4.

The Thomas marrying Ellen Doyle was born about 1886.

I found Thomas and Ellen in the 1939 Register and Thomas' birth date is given as 9 March 1885.

Are you trying to clarify Thomas McCabe Senior?  It would be helpful to know what his occupation was as that is not shown on the image that you provided of the 1920 marriage ceritifcate.

Occupation is stated as Seaman

I appreciate that this thread has been idle for a while now but I found it by chance a couple of weeks ago. My Grandmother was the daughter of Charles Phipps and Annie McCabe, we knew nothing about them other than their names so this thread was really helpful in kickstarting our research into the family tree.  So I just wanted to stop back and say thank you to the people who posted on here.
