There's an RC baptism for him which references the 1920 marriage. Baptised at St Anne's on 5 June 1885, born 6 March 1885, parents Thomas McCabe and wife Joanna (possibly Jane) maiden name Smith. Address 10 Mason Street.

On the 1920 marriage on Liverpool, England, Catholic Marriages, 1754-1921 one of the witnesses, Susanna McCabe, has an address of 7 Amber Street. Looking at the Electoral Rolls, she's with a John McCabe.

There's also a baptism:
Joannes Thomas McCabe

Birth 17 Apr 1880
Baptism Date:   14 Mar 1881

son of Thomae Mccabe and Joannae Smith.
Which may or may not be this on the GRO:
GRO Births
MCCABE, JOHN  THOMAS     mmn MUNRO
1880  J Quarter in WEST DERBY AND TOXTETH PARK  Volume 08B  Page 394

I can't see anyone on any census,though!

1891 census at 7 Curzon Street, Liverpool:

Jane McCabe wife Married 30
Thomas McCabe   son   6
John McCabe son 3

All shown as born Glasgow, Scotland but I think that is an error as regards the children.
