Hi David,

Thanks very much for the burial records, for Richard, his son, James, and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann. I would be interested, in any information, given for these individuals. Is there, by any chance, an Ann Richardson, was listed in the burial index, born around 1799? Ann was living, with James and Mary Ann, in 1861. Seems strange, if she was living, with them, at the time, of her death, she was not buried, with the rest. Are these derived, from the National Burial Index, if so, do you have access, for all of England. The following is the locations, where her other children lived:
Emma[/b] 1861-1865 Oldham, Lanc, 1866-1869 Monk Bretton, Yorkshire, 1871-1876: Barnsley, Yorkshire, 1881-1891 Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Nancy[/b] 1861 Oldham, Lancashire, 1863 immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Maria[/b] 1861 Dukinfield, 1871 Ranscliff, Staffordshire, 1881 Bollington, Cheshire, 1891 Brinnington, Cheshire
William 1851: Werneth, 1861: Newton St. Stockport, 1871-1881: Dukinfield

Also, could she have been buried in Leigh, Lancashire, where she was born?

I appreciate all the details, you have supplied.

The burials are from the parish register and the only additional information is their abodes.

Mary Ann Worthington, buried 7th January 1865, abode Oldham, and James on 21st July 1880, abode Didsbury.

If they were brought back to Werneth, you would expect Ann to have been also, so a bit of a mystery.

The other burial, Leah Ann, was the daughter of James and Mary Ann of George Street, Bacum, Werneth, baptised on 21st March 1852 in Werneth and buried there on 30th March 1854.

I will try and find the other children.

David

Thank you very much David, for all the efforts, you are making, to find Ann' burial. During the period of 1861-1865, 3 of Ann's children, lived in Oldham. By 1871, she does not live, with any of her children, including the daughter, living in Pennsylvania. From what, I have investigate, it does not appear, as if, she died, there either.

There is an Anne Worthington, who married Henry Richardson, on August 27, 1862, in the Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire. It could be worth exploring.

http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk has this marriage and it gives two surnames for Anne, which usually means she has been married before. Unfortunately, the second name is Rutter, which is presumably her father's surname.

If you search for Henry, rather than Anne, it will display the two surnames.
