I can trace a Madill ancestor back to his birth in new bliss in 1807, but before that I have nothing on the Madill family, is there any shread of information somewhere that shows Madill colonization.

Hi,
Welcome to Rootschat.
3 sites below are free.
In the Tithe records there are 32 entries.......
http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?surname=madill&firstname=&county=&townland=&parish=&search=Search&sort=&pageSize=&pager.offset=0

GriffithsValuation.........more here
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNameSearch&familyname=madill&firstname=First+Name&baronyname=&countyname=&unionname=&parishname=&Submit.x=45&Submit.y=19&Submit=Submit

And in this site there are 770 entries
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie

As you have Newbliss........search with it's old name Lisdaragh and the Parish is Killeevan. There is a John and a Thomas listed there.

If you have any Christian names, please list them.

Thank you. My ancestor would of been 20 been he came to the states, so he wouldn’t be listed here although his second son was named thomas, like one of men in lisdarragh. His oldest boy was named Henry, like one of the men in town land (which isn’t too far from Newbliss), it could just be a coincidence, but my family does have a habit of recycling names

What information have you got to get this year?
Where in the states did they live?
What was his Christian name?

He came to Pennsylvania, I have plenty of information on the family from then, trying to trace it back into Ireland, his name was Alexander, not a Christian name though.

A 'Christian name' doesn't have to be the name of a saint.
Christian name = "a personal name formally given to Christians at christening"
