If they are not on the 1891 census, this could be William on FreeBMD:

Tavistock, Dec qtr 1885, vol 5b p268 - HARDING William age 62

(Buckland Monachorum is in the Tavistock registration district).

I can't see a death for Mary in the Tavistock registration district, so she may have gone to live with a relative or died in a hospital or workhouse.  Unless of course she remarried.

Hope this helps
Philip

Well he was born in 1816, so that matches with the date of death! Thanks. Can anyone find a burial record?
