Wondered if someone can help me with info on a family

James Fitzgerald born 1920-21 mother Johanna wife Nellie.

They lived in Alcester Warwickshire.James was killed in Normandy 12 August 1944.

I am sorry i cant help with other surnames what details i have are from the CWG site.

I want to get James army record but need the family details.

I found one Johanna Fitzgerald with a son James so wondered if she was unmarried.

You can apply for the service record without having family details and you do not even need a death certificate as he died in service.

But be aware that if you are seeking information that "in the very rare case where release of information from a record might be prejudicial, the applicant will be advised of the relevant Freedom of Information Act statutory exemption that applies to its non disclosure."

Thank you something new I have learned because I couldn't see a death certificate in records I thought I needed extra info.
