You said Etta Iris was Blane but the GRO says Lane so are we looking for Blaine or Lane?

baptism reference could be St James Place Cranleigh June 1907
Indeed, that is the abode given.
Etta Iris
parents Edward + Ethel Blane
father a Butcher
born 2nd April 1907
It was a private baptism. The parish is Stoke next Guildford.

There's a Blann family in Cranleigh, parents Benjamin and Eliza. Children include an Edward (who doesn't appear to be a butcher), and an Ethel (who married in Cranleigh just a few months after that baptism of Etta).
Mention it just in case!

An Ethel Mary Moore, baptized Cranleigh, 6 July 1884. She was still unmarried and living in Cranleigh in 1911, according to the free index

She certainly looks like a possibility. Working as a domestic servant in 1911. I'm only looking at the transcript on familysearch, I wonder if it records whether she has had any children? Could be a reason Etta Iris appears to have been adopted.
