Arthur George Muskett
« on: Sunday 06 May 18 17:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

This man is abit of a mystery!

He was born in London (St Pancras/Highbury) around 1862/1864.

He was in Wakefield, Yorkshire by 1891, and can be found on the 1891 census living in Russell Street, where he was a railway guard.

He married Caroline Schofield within the United Methodist Free Church, Wakefield on the 6th March 1906.
He claimed to be a bachelor, gave his occupation as a railway passenger guard, and named his father as Arthur Muskett (deceased) a bank clerk.

However, I can find no trace of a birth (or a potential marriage of his parents), nor can I find him in 1871, 1881 or 1901!

Can anybody help!

Thanks

Sue

Hi

I am leaning towards a London birth.

When he completed his census return in 1911 he confirms it as Highbury, London.

It's rather coincidental isn't it given the age and occupation  :-\  He was a lodger. The head of household could have filled in the form having no idea where he came from  :-\

I see he was still living at the same address when he married  :D
