Looks a definite. Thank you. I’ll be having a look into that.  :)

I am interested to know if you ever sorted out the top end of this family. I am a descendant of John and Alice's son William, his son William James Lupton, born Hartlepool 1866, and his son Frank, born Hartlepool 1903. Frank was my grandfather through my mother Doreen. Before he died, Frank produced a quite detailed record of the extensive Hartlepool family. I don't know where he got the information from, but he recorded that John remarried after Alice died, to a Sarah Blanshard in 1852. He also recorded John's father as Thomas corn miller of Leeds. I live in Durham UK. I was in contact with a descendant of John's daughter, Ann Eliza, who also lives locally. She had a picture of at least one of the brothers, James and George, who went to Australia, standing outside the Live and Let Live Hotel.

William, born Leeds 1837, also had a daughter called Ann Eliza. It's probably more likely that the person I was in contact with is descended from this one.
