Try looking for births in Pontefract Watling/Cartwright 1915/1917/1924 they and Emily M and William are on 1939 also with a Sarah J Douthwaite.

Emily M had an aunt Sarah Jane Brown b.1861 Wootton Lincs. so this looks like the marriage
