Mary Sylvia (Sylvia) WILLIAMS (nee SANDERS) :
- appears to have been born in Christchurch (South Island, New Zealand)
[Two older siblings born in Christchurch 1915 and 1916 ].
- lived in Christchurch with her parents and siblings until about 1957 (which was the last sighting under her maiden name on the Christchurch electoral roll).
- I can't confirm her place of marriage nor give a precise date, but from 1963 - and through until 1981 - she appears on electoral rolls as
Mary Sylvia WILLIAMS - widow - Akatea Road, Korokoro, Wellington. (North Island, NZ).
- With the help of the death notice, I did manage to find that her late husband's name was "Stuart" ;
and a Letters of Administration file of 1962 containing a supporting affidavit from Mary Sylvia WILLIAMS, confirms she was the widow of
Richard Stuart WILLAMS, a sheet metal worker, of Petone* who died in 1962 ... and that there were no children of the union. Link to L. of A. file >
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSWL-69W2-7?i=610&cc=1865481&cat=2278074- Sylvia's parents also spent time living with her at Korokoro later in their lives, (as did a younger unmarried brother ).
[I will expand on details for parents / siblings in a number of other posts which I'll add to one of your earlier threads shortly. It will solve a "mystery" for you. I hope ? ]
- Again, no date available because NZ electoral rolls available online only extend to 1981, but at some stage Sylvia left the Wellington area and returned to live in Christchurch where her two older brothers had remained.
[Before her departure to the South, Sylvia's father had died in 1983 at Wellington - aged 94 - his address given as - Akatea Road, Korokoro. ]

[ * Petone = close to Korokoro, and would have been the administrative and main shopping centre at the time Sylvia first moved there. More at Wiki link >>
