Tin Type Nan and Great Aunt
« on: Wednesday 09 May 18 20:01 BST (UK) »
I am informed this is from a 'tin type'

I do know it is my Nan and her sister in law   - my great aunt.

not sure about the cartoon character and the lady sitting down.

Would anyone like a go.??

Not an easy one is it..

thanks

A brief cleanup of the people first, I will work on the rest later.

Hope you enjoy!

It looks like the photo should be flipped Xin as the coats are fastened the wrong way.

I'd have to agree. Women's coats button up opposite of a mans coat. (in the past, most wealthy & fashionable women didn't dress themselves, so the buttons are on the opposite side for the convenience of the person helping them dress.) Didn't notice, just was restoring the image. lol

Just a thought. Not sure if you'd like this so I only did a small sample. I don't usually colorize photos, but I thought you might like the concept.

That was my first thought but then I wondered if it was Korky the Cat.

A bit early for Korky who apparently first appeared in 1937 while Felix was first produced in 1919 and quickly rose and then declined in popularity throughout the 20s - failing to adapt very well to the talkies and no doubt swamped by Disney's burgeoning stable.
