On Mary Bestington's 1817 baptismal record, Mark Bestington's occupation is "clothier"

The age 59, born about 1782, (but not the occupation)) makes this Mark Bestington a candidate for the Mark Bestington that married Charlotte Johnson in 1801?

There is a marriage on FindMyPast (transcription only) of -
Mark Bestington and Mary Wilks, 2 November 1828 at Rothwell, Yorkshire (just south east of Leeds). But yet to spot a death/burial of a Charlotte Best/Bestington between Mary Bestington's 1817 baptism and the 1828 Rothwell marriage.

I'm looking on FindMypast and cannot locate this appeal.

Extractions done, plate in, I'm surviving and my lovely wife's help is making the healing process easier.

FindMypast has the image of Mary Best's letter of appeal against her sentence of 15 years transportation. In that letter she claims to be the wife of a "John Newlove".

Cannot find a marriage of a Mary Best and John Newlove but there is this marriage (image on FindMyPast) -

John Newlove and Mary Bestington, 19 Jun 1837 at Leeds, St. Peter, both of the Parish of Leeds.
One of the witnesses was a Mark Bestington.
