I am looking for information about Mrs. Pettman, she lived at "Sycamore house" in Woodborough, Dover, Kent (1909).  I found a picture of her granddaughter, Kitty  and I am very interested in finding out more about her.  The stamp says it was send from Milford.

So is she Kitty Pettman?
Which Milford are you referring to?
She looks around 20ish. The photo is Edwardian so someone born 1880-90 I would think.
Found just 1 (assuming her name is Catherine) b. 1888 Wandsworth mmn Bushel.
Working back from this one her father was Richard b. 1860 mmn Soames.
George Pettman married Eliza Soames in 1854 Kent.

I found out that the lady on the picture is Kate (Kitty) Waters (born Fosbury) born in Milford (Kent) in 1890 as daughter of Harry Fosbury and Julia Frances Fosbury (born Pettman).  The grandmother she is writing to must be the mother of Julia Frances Pettman.
Kate married Edwin George Ross Waters in 1914.

So who is it you want information about. Is it Kate or her Grandmother?
While we wait Frances married Thomas Pettman 1847 Kent. She was still alive in 1911 & living at Sycamore House.
Her maiden name was Laslett.

sorry if I didn't specify my request  :)
I found out myself who the lady on the photo was because some documents are on line free. 
The lady on the picture is Kate Fosbury, the person she writes to is her grandmother.   All information is welcome.  I am fascinated by the stories behind a picture that has travelled from England to Antwerp, Belgium.

Frances b. 1823 was the daughter of William & Elizabeth Laslett. William was a weaver & they lived in Hammel Woodnesborough.

Edwin & Kate had 3 daughters from 1916-22. It appears Edwin may have died in 1930. There's a death in Surrey for an Edwin G R Waters aged 39.
If it's him Kate may have remarried.

I found the marriage certificate of Kate, the lady on the photo,  and Edwin George Ross Waters .  She was 19 on the photo, born in 1890.  She was the daughter of Harry Fosbury, who was married with the  daughter of Frances, born in 1823.
