Freedom Jackson 26 june qtr 1925 Poole vol 5a pg 249 although that could be the other Freedom born to Sansom & Kate.

Newspaper report on the suicide of Samson James in the Western Gazette 28 October 1921 mentions his daughter Freedom Jackson

I was just eliminating the Freedom James that married William Jackson.  At least we now know that if we find a Freedom James bn c1898 Poole it is yours and not the daughter of Sansom who died 1925 as Freedom Jackson

the Freedom who died 1968 may be Freedom Cooper whose birth was registered jun qtr 1896 Fordingbridge and married Mark James dec qtr 1915 Alton.

Freedom James that died in 1968 in Marlborough was my Great Grandmother she was Freedom Cooper and was married to Mark James which was already noted above.

Mark James is brother to the Freedom James you are looking for. As you discovered there are a couple of families based in Poole with children with similar names which has caused me confusion over the years.

William and Jemima were being investigated by the NSPCC when based in Devon, their children were seemingly heathly but possibly neglected and left to their own devices whilst they went drinking  - I have discovered this in newspaper reports. I have wondered if this is why Jemima became Sarah in 1901 census. There was also a family feud between William and Jemima James and Sansom and Kate James that I have seen reported in the newspapers.

Sadly, I can't help with your initial enquiry. I hope you can find out what happened to Freedom.

I've just looked at my info and I have a death for a Freedom Cole quarter of June 1968 in Winchester against your Freedom - I don't have a marriage or anything else but I will look later - just need to pop out for the morning.
