Sarah Boyle Grave

I want to find the grave for a Sarah Boyle (maiden name Doogan). She lived in Loughannure with her husband Owen Boyle and they had 11 children. Owen Boyle, who died 28th November 1930 at the age of 85, is buried in Annagry Graveyard section A number 273 with his daughter, granddaughter, grandson, three sons and daughter-in-law.

Sarah Boyle died on 30th September 1913 at the age of 61, her name was spelt Sara on the death register.

The graveyard in Annagry was not opened until 1914 so hence the reason Sarah would not be buried there. Sarah may have been buried in Kincasslagh which was used prior to 1914. If they had a 'Doogan' family grave in Kincasslagh she may be buried there. Good luck with your research.

Not really that unusual- many families didn't put up headstones or list all the people that died in a particular plot and sometimes headstones were not put up until many years later.

Sometimes (but not always) people put death notices in a local newspaper- depending on the circumstances funeral arrangements sometimes listed.
