Surname Turvey. *NOW SOLVED*
« on: Sunday 13 May 18 07:45 BST (UK) »
Good Morning, I'm after a bit of advice/help please.
My 4x gt grandfather John Turvey 1760-1823 was born in Foulden Norfolk, I can follow the line from him right through to my mother as all being born in Norfolk, but I am struggling to go back further from John, & the reason being is that I was told a while back that my line of Turvey's originated from Worcestershire . How can I find out if this is true please.
I have put this message on the Worcestershire page as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Bit of background
John Turvey married Winifred Reed in Northwold, 11 March 1787. He was a Single Man of the parish of Fouldon

Children baptized in Foulden subsequently, starting with Judith in 1788, then John in 1791, Samuel 1792

Can't see a baptism for John circa 1760, but this marriage might be interesting given the names of two of his children

Having said that, there are baptisms to Samuel + Judith Turvey at Houghton on the Hill, but no John!

There were certainly some Turveys about in Norfolk prior to all that.
