Had a couple of sessions looking but never discovered anything.  Have you any idea what time frame we should be searching ?  Were there any other relatives in Canada ?

She is a possibility in 1911 census in house in Knockrea(Blackrock Cork) as Katie Looney age 13. So immigration possibly around 1916 onwards . Will check with my colleague whom I am researching for & see if they have any further info. Tks for looking.

Just to save other Rootschatters duplicating searches:

FamilySearch - Canada Passenger Lists 1881-1922 - nothing found.
Library and Archives Canada - Naturalisation Lists 1915-1946 - nothing found.
Library and Archives Canada - Passenger Lists and Border Entries 1925-1935 - nothing found.

Quick question - when is the first year you found them in Canada?  This would narrow the search.

Philip

For information purposes - this must be Katie on the 1911

Where did she settle in Canada? Perhaps arrived via U.S. from Ireland although relatives of mine left Ireland and lived in Australia before moving to Vancouver (luckily some of the children were born in Australia so I managed to trace them).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

On the 1920 U.S. census in Chicago there is a Catherine Looney, 22, born Ireland, emigrated 1919, in the household of Maurice Reardon, 55, born Ireland and his wife Catherine.  Catherine Looney's relationship is niece.  Does your Catherine connect to the Reardon family?
