Looking for details on Thomas Partridge.
His grave marker lists his birth as 2 APR 1808 Dunstable, Bedfordshire
His marriage 10 Mar 1859 in Port Huron, Michigan USA appears to indicate he had a son, also Thomas as it lists him as "THOMAS PARTRIDGE, Sen Esq" Some suggest the Esq indicates he was a solicitor or barrister but his death record says carpenter and census documents list joiner in some cases or carpenter.
To confuse this we have found a Thomas Partridge born about 1831 living in London, Ontario nearby and he was a lawyer. Have been trying to connect the two men but no success.
Hopeful the birth info from the headstone will lead to a baptism or even a first marriage in England as 50 seems late for a first marriage. His spouse, Jane Clark, my 2nd great aunt, was 43 which also seems late for a first marriage.
We find him first in the 1861 Canada Census and last in the 1891 but no reference to arrival year.
