Never in a million years would I have found this but this is where it is now

northumberlandarchives.com
exhibitions
Northumberland communities (third one down on the right hand side)

I would have provided a link but it wouldn’t work for some reason  :(

The problem is that now I’ve located it for myself I still get the ‘insecure’ message from Firefox when I click on a place.  All the other subjects in exhibitions seem to work OK .

Please note that this is not the old website with a new address but a copy of the original in a completely different location.  I suspect that they have copied the problem across too.

Forgot to mention that their IT is now done by Northumberland County Council.  I doubt that they would take kindly to a direct approach from the public though so we may have to continue to make contact via the archives.

Thanks Christine, I'll wait and see if the archives can give me a contact address for whoever administers the site.

Though I'm kind of surprised that the council IT folk would take umbrage at someone trying to help and reporting a glitch, in my limited experience those who run sites appreciate reports of inconsistencies in public sites (its not a complaint as such, just oddities being reported)

If you click on any town, as you say, you still get the original message as in my reply #8.

I can now access the site again. It would seem that the IT folk have sorted the mismatch in the security cert :-)
