I'm stuck in a Preparing Automatic Repair/Diagnosing Your PC loop and can find no way out of it. msg appears stating Automatic Repair couldn't repair your Pc

I think I had that, which is why I had to go for System Reset.

Good luck.  It's sooooooo time-consuming and frustrating, isn't it?  But mine is OK now thanks to the help I got here.  Not exactly back to it's old self, but as near as.

Good to know you got it sorted!  There will be things you have to tweak, I have a few too even though I had no troubles with the update.

Not letting me do that. is there a combination of keys ft would from power up?
