Where is John CRACKNELL in 1861?

Sophia PAVITT married John CRACKNELL 8 April 1855, St Pancras.  John, a widower, a cabmaster, father William a farrier

It appears Sophia CRACKNELL died in 1859, but I cannot see a burial for her.

in 1861 their daughter Emily CRACKNELL, born 1859,  is with her uncle William George PAVITT, a plumber,  and his wife Elizabeth (nee ROLTON) in Upper Rathbone Place, St Marylebone
same in 1871 but 18 University Street.

on 4th November 1874 the three of them, William George Pavitt, Elizabeth Pavitt and Emily Pavitt arrived in New Zealand on board the Stanley Castle
There, as CRACKNELL,  Emily married John Henry BURGIN in 1886  They, at some point moved to Melbourne and had at least one child, Emily died there 13 June 1897 and William and Elizabeth PAVITT put a notice in the New Zealand newspapers to that effect, asking it to be copied to London papers.

What I want to know is What happened to her father John CRACKNELL  Did he also die before the 1861 census?

There is a death registration in March quarter 1859 - Greenwich District - for a John Cracknell, aged 32.

Yes, I did notice that Sophia's was in a different area of London, and that Emily's birth was registered in the same district.  However, if John died in the March quarter, could it be that Sophia changed addresses after his death

their marriage is St Pancras/Camden  which is on the same side as Lambeth. (I think).  both living Princes Street.
John is a widower so I expect him to be older than Sophia who was born 1824.  There is an 1841 John in St Pancras with a wife Caroline and children both age 40

Yes, perhaps that death entry for John in 1859 is not the right one.

No, not in 1851. Am busy looking :-)
the 1841 one one had the daughter Caroline Ellen die and buried 1841. Address is Little George Street, so correct for the 1841 family, whether or not that is the correct John.

John is not the one with wife Caroline in 1841 - in 1851 she is a widow living with her youngest daughter Emily in St. Pancras.
