Whitworth of Shepshed

Hello,

John Whitworth married Elizabeth Lakin in 1777 in Shepshed. I have no more information on Elizabeth, but John was born in Shepshed in 1753, parents Edward and Mary. I have nothing on them either.

I'd appreciate any help!

Found Mary Haddon! Baptised in 1730 in Shepshed, daughter of Thomas and Ann. Couldn't find any marriage record.

You should possible research for a marriage for Thomas and Ann pre 1723, as their first was bap April 1723 it seems all their children were bap in Shepshed, however no idea where Ann was from, could be Shepshed could be elsewhere.

A Thomas Haddon and Anne Helmsley married at St Mary de Castro, Leicester, on 5th August 1722.

Does the 1777 marriage show the surname as Lakin, or is that just how its been transcribed online? RE the Leicester marriage, is it indicated that Edward and Mary are of Shepshed?

Also, for the Thomas Haddon and Anne Helmsley who married at St Mary de Castro, Leicester, on 5th August 1722, is there any reference to them being of Shepshed?
