Thank you for pointing that out heywood! Would anybody be able to transcribe the address? I can’t read it at all :( it’s interesting that they’d get married on the same day. Obviously the woman he married then isn’t the mother, I can’t seem to find another marriage record for him?

The address is 37 Upper Mercer Street - see the census links posted already. I would say it is a tenement.

I haven’t seen this mentioned but it looks as though his father might have married on the same day - the top entry. If so, it would give another generation.

It seems odd that John Maloney and Mary Ann Rooney married in 1900 but there only seems to be two births to them - 1903 and 1908  :-\

If they were tavellers it wouldn't be surprising if some children weren't registered.
