Looks a bit like Van Street to me.

Maureen

Yes, I could go with "Van Street" Mo.

Well now I'm really confused!
Was about to accept richardanthony's suggestion of Dean Street as Walter's father is also named Walter so that seemed pretty conclusive.
But, after the last couple of suggestions, it does now look like a 'V' so Van Street is what I'm going with!
Many thanks to you all and no doubt I'll be back with another poser soon...

Jim

Found this piece on a Parkhead History site - just as a matter of interest.

Van Street

A cul-de-sac off 1253 Gallowgate, it no longer exists. It was named after the van works of J H Kelly, who had a factory at number 15, which was built in 1904. The premises were later acquired by William Beardmore. Number 3 was previously known as Bella Place.

Van Street, was directly across Great Eastern Road from the Eastern Necropolis, and about 400yds west of Parkhead Cross.  (https://maps.nls.uk/view/109707761)

To be 100% certain I'd back other's suggestion of looking at the 1911 census, I'd go with Ian-Ean-Van as the name.
