Hi I can locate a Frances Rowe ( no middle initial) living in Rochester in 2002/3 with a Leslie, he was still at the same address in 2014, their is a death of a Frances Rowe b 12th April 1929 in Dec qtr 2003 Medway?

PS the 1969 birth of a male has middle name of Dennis?

So did Frances marry a Rowe or not?
Has that Walter Firth/Edith marriage certificate still to arrive, and your opinion of the 1969 Male Terry birth in Chatham with middle name Dennis mmn Firth?

I’m still waiting on the marriage cert
Yes the 1969 terry was the correct offspring
I ordered the death certificate of my great aunt and he was actually on there as the informant

;) So Frances did not marry a Rowe, is that correct, so I have not seen a death with both previous married names, have you the deaths of the two husbands?

PS it does help those helping out if you answer questions before providing a new one?!

This is what I know so far:

Francis E Firth B1935-D2003 (death cert in possession)

Married J Wellington - had 3 offspring
Married D Terry - had 1 offspring
Married L Rowe - no offspring

I have not researched the spouses as yet as I work shifts and this week has been work heavy and genealogy light :)

I have not ordered any marriage certs as I have decided to focus on my direct biological ancestors

Francis M Stanley B 1901 (BC in possession) - Married Walter C firth 1931 (Marriage cert on the way)
D 1939 - Death cert in possession

Also when I received my GGM DC I was quite shocked at her COD so if I am honest I have been processing lots of info and feelings I wasn't expecting so my search has definitely slowed down

I hope this helps catch ppl up to speed

So just an update on my search the marriage cert finally came through for my great grandmother and the details
Were correct
She married a Walter c Firth in 1931
Interestingly his profession is a sapper in the RE
I had no idea of this - I have his number on the cert any ideas of where I would be able to look for some more info?

Thank you in advance

Hi,

I'm having trouble accessing such recent Royal Engineer records, there is a possible match here but it is a £ site,

https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/

You could request his service records here, but it costs £30,

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/request-records-of-deceased-service-personnel

Regards,
Daisy
