Is it set as Default?

Does it have all its Defaults?

So you're using a Web Browser for Mail?

I've apparently solved the problem by opening the BT Email page in Microsoft Edge and no longer use Outlook now.

I don't use Outlook but apparently Outlook and W10 clash with Mail being the Program that comes with W10

I use Outlook 2010 happily on W10. The inbuilt mail program is set up just to look at Hotmail (that`s the account I talk to Microsoft through). Outlook is where I actually read my emails from all accounts.

Hotmail is a bit of an oddball though, being based around Exchange, but things work fine on my mum`s machine too, and that only talks to a POP3 account.
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.
