Hi mygirlbill,

Thanks for that as I was wondering whether I'd made up a new location. The first letter was identical to another to the first letter of another word that I recognised, but "Jever" sounded so weird. At least we know that Andries Bedreka might have come from the North Western Germany. And, Bremen is not too far from Jever ...abt 100k's ...

Hi,

It seems that "Edmond" Charles Isidore BREDEKA died in Saint-Malo on January 1st 1842 at the age of 1.

His father passed away in February 3d 1843, same place.

Isidor André BREDEKA died in 1833 in Pleurtuit on October 1st (at his wet nurse, Rose LEGOBIEN, widow of Jean LEGOBIEN, hamlet of Landriais, if I read correctly). He was 17 days old, born in Saint-Malo where his parents lives.

In 1869 (28/APR/1869), Alfred Eugène BREDEKA married Joséphine Désirée GEFFLOT in Saint-Lunaire.
He is a sailor.
The marriage record says that his father was born in Rensburg in "Dannémarck" in April 1783. The mother, Jeanne Gabrielle Françoise TABOUREL was born in Ducey (Manche) on December 31st 1814 and died in Saint-Malo on March 18th 1860.
Joséphine Désirée GEFFLOT is 21 years old. Her father is a sea captain.

They got two children : Marie BREDEKA circa 1872 and Jean Alfred circa 1874

In 1886, Joséphine GEFFLOT lives in Dinard. She is remarried to Joseph MEUNIER.

Marie Julie Joséphine BREDEKA passed away on September 18th 1900 in  Dinard-Saint-Enogat. She was born in Saint-Lunaire (20/JUL/1872).

Jeal Alfred BREDEKA is probably the same as Alfred BREDEKA

Caroline Athalie BREDEKA died on November 10th 1861 in Tréhorenteuc (Morbihan). she was 40. Her death record doesn't mention her husband but he died earlier the same year, on March 9th. François Rémy LEFEVRE. He was 45 years old.

Domicilié de fait à Tréhorenteuc et de droit à Paris.
