So, Jeanne Françoise CHARUEL was an aunt of Jeanne Françoise TABOUREL. I wonder if she was also her godmother. It would be interesting to get a copy of her baptism record.

Same thing for her religious marriage record. Does such a marriage require a dispensation from the impediment of affinity ?

I'm not sure about the laws in France about such relationships as Jeanne Charuel and Jeanne Tabourel but I know that in Scotland around the same time in one of my other branches a man's wife died and while she was dying her cousin came down to nurse her after she died the two ended up marrying. Perhaps something similar happened here?

I meant the Catholic ceremony because of the Canon law, not the civil marriage.
