Records for this family appear under Collins and Collings, I think, and so far I have 8 children, 4 before 1837 & 4 GRO recorded. Can anyone help with William Francis (1826?-1858?) & Francis William (1828-?); both baptised 20th April 1828, Sampford Spiney, abode Huckery Bridge? Where is Huckery Bridge? 1871 census has a Francis W Collins, 43, Heckworth Bridge? Possibly married to a Sarah Jeffery. 1861 has him born Walkhampton, where his sister Hannah may have been born in 1833. Another sister, Mary, born 1831, appears only on 1841 census; what has happened to her, I wonder? It has been suggested that both William Senior and wife Elizabeth died c.1862 & 1864 respectively...but the only "fitting" records are for Collins in Stratton? I'd be grateful for any pointers leading to further details, please.

An image of the two baptisms in 1828 is available for view on fanmilysearch via the Catalogue. It does not give a date of birth for either child so it is highly unlikely you will ever find out exactly when they were born. The image is of the BTs which are supposed to be a duplicate of the original Register entries. The date of birth may have been missed off the transcript but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The family was living in Stratton 1851 census name transcribed as Callins

Death registration for Stratton 1858, m quarter vol. 05C page3-- William Francis Collins age 30

ADDED
 as the age is 30 is this Francis William with the name transposed or is it William Francis with age out by 2 years?

Richard Collins 14 visitor born Stratton Cornwall, labourer

EDITED Could this be Mary Collins and her brother Richard. Answer NO. but this is Richard brother to William Francis and Francis William.

Richard is a bootmaker in 1861born Walkhampton Devon
