photo in Samuel family collection , wondered if its taken in Canada as a few Samuels were over and lived in Canada

Palm trees would suggest a warmer climate but some parts of British Columbia could support certain types of palms as do some parts of UK.

I would also have thought mountains in background if British Columbia and house styles look odd but perhaps style was localized.

What lead you to think possibly Canada?

Can you add details on the person you are still searching for?  Perhaps some records her could assist.

We had 4 Samuel family out in Canada , have traced all apart from
One lady is still not known what ever happened to her

No it is not Canada.  The thatched roof (lower left of barn) and the complete lack of chimneys is a dead giveaway.
