1861 Census, 13 Loch Street, Aberdeen
John Wright, head, married, 37, sawmiller, born Inverurie
Catherine Wright, wife, married, 31, born Tullynessle
James Wright, son, 16, born Midmar.

1871 census, 6 Lower Auchindryne, Crathie and Braemar
John Wright, head, married, 47, saw miller, born Inverurie
Catherine Wright, wife, married, 40, born Tullynessle

(BTW It's Tullynessle not Tullynessie)

Catherine Wright, other surname Lawson, died in Crathie and Braemar in 1879, aged 47.

In 1881, at Auchendryne, Crathie and Braemar
John Wright, head, married, 57, sawmiller, born Clunie
Jessie Wright, wife, married, 42, born Duthil.

John Wright married Jessie Fraser in Crathie and Braemar on 1880. If I were you I would get a copy of that marriage certificate, because if it tells you that John Wright was a widower and his mother was Magdalene Jamieson, I reckon that is enough to prove that he is the right one.

A John Wright, aged 71, died in Braemar in 1895. I'd go for that certificate because if it lists the two wives, as it should do, that would clinch it.

John Sherriffs (several spelling variations) and Mary Nicol had
Jessy, baptised 2 July 1825 at Midmar
Margaret, baptised 1 August 1826, Midmar
James, baptised 1 November 1827, Midmar
George, baptised 27 April 1830, Midmar

1941 census: Cartars, Midmar
John Sheriffs, 45, farmer
Mary Sheriffs, 50
Margaret Sheriffs, 14
George Sheriffs, 11
Jessy Sheriffs, 15
Mary McDonald, 6
all born in Aberdeenshire

Can't find them in 1851 or 1861, but a Jessie Sheriff married in Forfar in 1854, so maybe they moved south.
