Thank you,

She is a real mystery, she had a child Frances Walker(Christened Fanny Walker) in India to Richard Walker/Walter in 1816.
In 1817 she married (as a widow) William Mobberley in Vellore Madras.
I am trying to find where she came from and a first marriage.

The image looks like Keellwell, which I never heard of. I was hoping it was Kilkeel, which I could have helped you with, or a guy on the Co. Down facebook group could. but it's not.

I can see where you were going with this though, assuming she married Mr Walker in her home county.

I don't think the Irish place name will help yet (as there are too many possibles).  We don't know if Ellen's parents took the family to India, or if she married Richard WALKER/WALTER then went to India.

My instinct is to find Richard - preferably the marriage to Ellen otherwise his occupation when he died (soldier, trader, administrator?) and track back.  If we find the death in India 1816-17 it might give clues.

A-hunting we will go!
