Sandling Avenue, Bristol
« on: Sunday 27 May 18 13:52 BST (UK) »
Hi. I am researching mum's family and we are trying to find out what happened to her aunt or great aunt, I am confused! Her name was Olive Lucas nee Bainbridge b.1902. After travelling around the world Olive was at 51 Sandling Avenue Bristol in 1952. She had just returned from the USA so it may have been a temporary home. In 1937 there was a GE Lucas living at 27 Sandling Avenue but that could just be a coincidence. I can't find Olive after 1952 and would love to know if anyone can help.
Thanks
Alison

Greetings.

If you have a subscription to Ancestry they have Gloucestershire electoral rolls up to 1974.

(There are several possibles for Olive Lucas, but I don't have a sub so I can't check them for street addresses)

Hi Philip. Thanks you, I do have a sub but hadn't come across this bit of Ancestry before. I am now going to make a start on all the Olive Lucas possibles! - thank you so much.

You are most welcome.

Do let us know if you push the sightings forward as it would help narrow down a date of death (I had a quick look on FreeBMD but couldn't see an obvious candidate)

Hi Philip, no luck on Olive, perhaps she was just there on her way back from travelling but lots on the other Lucas's you found for me. Emily M is a married name so if I find her husband then I find the person that Olive remained in contact with. It might not be a 100% result but I am so much further on than I have been - thank you
