I can't find the exact location at the moment, but looking at the order the 1939 index was taken, Winnell's Cottages is between Newlands Farm and the Brickyard.  Hopefully, by clicking on this link http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=15.507189506641632&lat=52.1625&lon=-2.1880&layers=6&right=BingHyb you should be able to see a side by side map of the approx location.

It may be that the cottages were demolished for the construction of the M5.......

Thank you Spidermonkey.

I know there are two Norton's and I was thinking it might be the other one nearer Throckmorton.

I will go and have a look at both places later this week. I only thought it was the other because William(1890/1) and his Mansell family were born in Throckmorton.

You can see "Winnells" marked on the 1967 map at https://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.html#/Map/387271/251605/12/100954

and earlier on this 1940 map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.html#/Map/387271/251605/12/100745
if you keep zooming out you get the modern map, and see that they were not under the M5.

Hi
If you go to Gmaps and find Church Lane, then switch to SteetView, find the Bungalow with a name plate on the garden wall (Newlands) then look down the lane at the side of it, you will see a timbered cottage and another building at the end of that lane.
Malmesbury- Bishop.
Gloucestershire-Bishop,Hicks,Higgs,Hill,Hooper,Hopkins,Pitcher,Robertson,Stinton,Terret,Woodruff.
Worcestershire-Stinton.
Devon- Borrough or Burrow.

Do you mean the left hand side of the bungalow because I can see a black and white house with a yellow bin in front of it.
