I'd believe the original....
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Ah, thank you - You are obviously more clued up than I am!    :)   As  I posted earlier the other certificate I have is identical in all respects apart from register Numbering and "widower" opposed to "bachelor"

When you search and then select an individual just Right Click the word Image... then copy and paste into post

Well I have gained some info tonight - just wasn't sure how to copy the link in but now I've worked out how to do it...easy when you know how!  As for the discrepancies in the certificates I am inclined to go with the Church record...   Thanks again

Just found another two with that spelling again 1870
Joseph McCaithie age 3
Christopher McCaithie age 1

either the name is just coincidentally similar or something disastrous happened in 1870 ?

Christopher and Isabella were born in King St 1869
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1869/03410/2250775.pdf

so i entered that address King St into address box on Glasnevin Trust
and got
Isabella age 28
William age 6
Joseph age 3 all 1870

Church record
https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/display-pdf.jsp?pdfName=d-155-3-2-059

I was expecting it to be in St.Nicholas Without but it was in St.Luke

Wonder where that Cert came from!

The marriage took place at St Lukes Church of Ireland and some years back I downloaded the certificate I think from the Irish Family History Foundation website or similar.
