Thank you Cas for the Cemetery Page link, much appreciated :)

Deidre no our Wilfred doesn’t have a middle name, and yep have found his birth and baptism etc. We also found him in 1901 and 1911 Census then shipping records have him travelling to Australia in 1914 with his parents and brother. Then shipping records show the parents and brother returned to England in 1920, and family stories tell us that Wilfred also returned most likely around the same time.

Thanks for checking out the Merthyr chap, so it looks like we might be hopefully on the right track. Will check with the Cemetery and see if there’s a headstone (with hopefully a full birth date), otherwise next step might be to order the marriage certificate. Thank you!

Thanks for trying David. Fingers crossed for Saturday! Haven’t heard anything back from the Cemetery, so any help is very much appreciated.

Have received the 1926 death cert for Wilfred Talbot, and as suspected it still doesn’t give us anything to confirm that he is our Wilfred.

Thanks very much for visiting for us David, it’s very much appreciated. A pity there’s no headstone! It’s back to the drawing board now. I guess nothing worthwhile comes easy! Thanks again.
