Helen Frater born abt 1784
« on: Wednesday 30 May 18 13:01 BST (UK) »
On the 1841 (Scot) census says Helen born England
On the 1851 (Scot) census says Helen born Newton, Northumberland
Helen (Hellen) died 6 Nov 1851 aged 67 at Yetholm, Scotland.... so would of been born abt 1784
Married a Archibald Stenhouse  ??

Is there any way of finding out her birth? And possibly her marriage date? Perhaps parents?
I have had no luck with finding any of the above...

Thanking you all in Advance
Christine

Bear in mind that her given name might possibly have been Eleanor - I've seen Helen used as a 'pet' name for Eleanor before now.

There are several places in Northumberland called Newton. See list here which also indicates in which parishes they were located. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/NBL/Gazetteer/NBL_N

Helen (Hellen)  I knew of Nelly and Ellen but never gave Eleanor a thought.
