Prison document

Hi, I found a prison record of an ancestor of mine and would like help in knowing where they went once released as this is listed on the document.
On the form it has the headings: date of Liberation, intended address and occupation. 
My ancestor has 11-5-1907 as their Date of Liberation, intended address as Catholic D.P.A.S St Helens and occupation as Labourer. What is the D.P.A.S and where in St Helens would it have been located.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I agree,
They were a Charity............ "aftercare for Catholic offenders, or the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Societies (DPAS) which were also often ... through the probation service as they took over charitable provision from 1907 onwards."
