Help with name
« on: Thursday 31 May 18 10:40 BST (UK) »
Can anyone please help me with the surname?
I believe the first name is Clara & surname has been deciphered as Chambers
But I think this is incorrect.
Many thanks

I think it's
Clara C Garrisson?

If you provide a link to the whole image, more of the page can be used for comparison letters

My first thought was 'Champion'.

(- but that doesn't account for the tail on the second letter so . . . . . . maybe Garrison as has been said. :-\ :-\ :-\)

A bigger clip would certainly help - what looks like a tail might be a riser from a letter on the next line.

I'll stick with Champion I think.     :-\ :-\

Champion is written fairly clearly further up the list of surnames and I am inclined to think they match.    :-\

I agree with Wiggy. What looks like a downstroke on the second letter - is that actually an upstroke from the line below? I tried to enlarge the image to see but it was too pixelated to be able to tell.
Bradbury (Sedgeley, Bilston, Warrington)
Cooper (Sedgeley, Bilston)
Kilner/Kilmer (Leic, Notts)
Greenfield (Liverpool)
Holyland (Anywhere and everywhere, also Holiland Holliland Hollyland)
Pryce/Price (Welshpool, Liverpool)
Rawson (Leicester)
Upton (Desford, Leics)
Partrick (Vera and George, Leicester)
Marshall (Westmorland, Cheshire/Leicester)

I think it's Champion too and I'm also pretty sure the apparent downstroke is an upstroke from name below

It looks like Emily FORD should be the "Head" of the household.
